The Brainrot Clicker website uses browser storage to remember a theme preference and support game ratings. Games and video players can use additional storage inside their own player environments. This policy explains these features and the choices available in your browser.
Website cookies and local storage
| Name | Purpose | When used | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
brainrotclicker-co-voter |
Associates a rating with a random browser voter identifier so that browser can update its score for the same game. | Set after a successful rating submission; a later rating can refresh it. | Up to one year from the latest successful submission, unless cleared sooner. |
brainrotclicker-co-theme |
Remembers your selected light or dark theme in local storage. | Saved when you choose a theme. | No fixed expiry in the site code; remains until cleared or removed by the browser. |
The rating cookie is marked HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax, and uses the Secure attribute on HTTPS connections. These settings restrict how it is accessed and sent. The identifier is random; your star score and game selection are stored in the site’s rating database rather than inside the cookie.
Local storage is different from a cookie: the theme preference is read by the page in your browser and is not automatically attached to every request. If no preference is saved, the page can use your system’s color preference.
Game storage
Games may save progress or settings in local storage, other browser storage or downloadable save files. A game loaded inside an external player may use storage associated with that player’s domain. Its save options and retention behavior can differ from those of the surrounding website.
Check a game’s guide and settings before clearing data. Removing its storage may reset progress, and we cannot reconstruct a local save that was not backed up. Saving progress is separate from earning points while a game is closed; one does not establish that the other is supported.
Videos and external services
YouTube thumbnail images may load when they approach the visible part of the page. The gameplay video player loads when you choose Play and uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed domain. The player can still process information required for playback and may use storage under the service’s own practices.
An embedded game may connect to additional services, use its own storage or display advertising. Hosting and security services can also use technical measures to deliver and protect requests. We do not treat this table as a complete inventory of every external player’s storage. The surrounding site currently has no separate advertising or audience-analytics script.
Manage your preferences
Use your browser’s privacy or site-data settings to block or remove cookies and local storage for brainrotclicker.co. Data belonging to an embedded player may need to be managed separately for its domain. Browser restrictions can affect a player’s ability to load, save or remember settings.
Deleting the voter cookie removes the browser’s association with its rating; it does not automatically erase the database record. For a data-related request, contact contact@brainrotclicker.co. More information is available in the Privacy Policy.
Policy updates
We will revise this page if the website’s storage practices change. For questions, visit Contact. You can return to Brainrot Clicker to play the main game and use the site’s theme and rating controls.
