Information used by the website
Page requests and technical information
Loading a page or image sends a request that includes connection information such as your IP address, the requested URL, request time and browser information. Hosting and security systems process this information to deliver the website, handle traffic and protect the service. Our hosting infrastructure uses Cloudflare; its Privacy Policy explains its information practices.
Game ratings
When you submit a star rating, the website records the game identifier, a random browser voter identifier, your score and the time of the latest update. The rating table does not ask for a name, email address or account, and its application-level record does not include your IP address.
The voter identifier is stored in a cookie called brainrotclicker-co-voter. It lets the same browser update its rating for a game instead of adding another record for that browser. It is a pseudonymous identifier, not a promise that all website activity is anonymous. Hosting systems still process connection information separately.
To reduce automated submissions, the rating service also uses a short-term Cloudflare rate-limit key derived from the connection’s IP address. This key is separate from the voter cookie and is not added to the rating table. It is not proof of a person’s identity; people sharing a connection may temporarily share a submission allowance. The key is pseudonymous, not guaranteed anonymous.
Other visitors see the aggregate average and number of ratings, not a public voter profile or the stored voter identifier. A submitted score is an opinion about the selected game; it is not a public written comment.
Preferences and game progress
The site stores your selected light or dark theme in your browser under brainrotclicker-co-theme. Games may also use browser storage or save files for progress and settings. Messages you send
If you email us, we receive your email address, message, attachments and any contact details you include. We use these to respond, investigate a report or handle a privacy or copyright request. Do not include a password or information unrelated to the request.
Embedded games and videos
Some game players load content from external servers after you press Play. Those servers receive the requests needed to run the game and may process connection information, use their own storage or display advertising within the player. These activities can differ from those of our surrounding site pages.
Gameplay videos use YouTube. A video thumbnail may be requested from YouTube’s image servers when it comes into view, before you press the video Play button. The video player itself is loaded after you choose to play it, using the privacy-enhanced embed domain. This mode does not mean that no information is processed. Opening a link to another website makes a separate connection to that destination. Review the notices and controls provided by an embedded service or destination when you use it.
Why information is used and shared
Information is used to deliver game pages, maintain ratings and preferences, investigate problems, answer messages, prevent abuse and handle legitimate requests. Hosting, database and email services process information as part of providing those functions.
We do not sell information held in our rating records or contact correspondence. The current site pages do not include a separate advertising or audience-analytics script. Embedded games and video services may have their own advertising and data practices. We may disclose information when reasonably needed to comply with applicable law, protect the service or review a rights complaint; complaint details may need to be shared with an affected party for that purpose.
Retention and security
The rating feature has no automatic expiry for its database records. Records may remain until they are updated, removed or the rating service is retired. Expiry or removal of the browser cookie does not itself delete a previously submitted rating.
Correspondence may be retained to answer requests, investigate issues, maintain a record of the outcome or meet applicable obligations. Contact us if you want us to review information you sent. We cannot promise a fixed deletion date for records we cannot identify or must retain for a legitimate reason.
We use technical safeguards such as HTTPS and restricted access to website services. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and requests
You can manage cookies and website storage through your browser, choose whether to load an embedded player, and decide what to include in a message. Clearing game data may remove progress, settings or access to a saved rating preference.
